The Skagit Art Association offers a number of benefits.

Membership meetings are held monthly (other than April, July, August and December). These meetings usually have guest speakers to enlighten us on some art related topic.   Members are encouraged to display a piece of their artwork at meetings to be voted "Artist of the Month". There is also a drawing at each meeting known as the "Web Lottery". Both the "Artist of the Month" and the "Web Lottery" winners are promoted on our web site.

Eligible members can participate in the annual Pickle Barn show during Tulip Festival. This show is a main event for our organization. It gives our members an opportunity to show and sell their work and maybe win some awards in the process. A portion of the proceeds from each sale is contributed to a Skagit artist scholarships fund.



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Videos

We have our own modest but growing library of videos on different art related topics. These videos are available for loan from one meeting to the next for a small donation of $1.00. These proceeds are then used to purchase additional videos.

Newsletter

The SAA Newsletter will keep you up todate on current information if you were unable to attend a meeting or just feel the need for a review. It is available by either email or by US Postal Service. Email can get it to you faster and saves the SAA the additional expenses of paper, ink and postage. You also have the option of reading SAA newsletters using the link provided to the left.
