Attention please

For off-loading and pick-up of artwork for the Pickle Barn show, go to the North side of the Cascade Mall, between Penny's and the Cinema. Look for a black awning (sort of set back against the building) which says "Management Office". Park in the loading zone area to off-load or pick-up and when done promptly move your vehicle to a parking space in the Mall parking lot so others can off-load or pick-up their work. We also don't want to block the loading zone area! Go through the door and down the hall. The Pickle Barn door will be on your right and there will be a sign that says "Pickle Barn" on the door so you know which door it is. Thank you

A successful show is largely dependent upon good organization. The majority of the following requirements are an effort to keep things running smoothly and avoid any unnecessary confusion.

Exhibitor Responsibilities

  • Proper framing and labels on the back of each piece.
  • Participation in the Pickle Barn show is also dependant upon taking part in working a number of "shifts" during the show.
  • Each member exhibiting, must serve on at least one show-related committee.
  • Each member exhibiting, must follow the guidelines for framing and labeling of artwork.
  • Each member exhibiting, must work the required number of work shifts during the show.
  • SAA will deduct 20 percent from each sale to cover expenses and apply to the Skagit Artist's Scholarship Fund.
  • Exhibitor will not hold SAA liable for theft of art work or for damage due to water leaks or other causes, or any errors in advertising or publicity.

Framing

  • Frames should be suitable for sale. (clean and undamaged)
  • Backing should NOT be cardboard
  • Frames also must have wires attached for hanging.

Pricing restrictions

  • Minimum price on ANY item is $2.00.

Inventory Labels

  • Use self-sticking computer labels with backing left on.
  • Attach label backing to back of frames in a way which will allow cashiers to easily remove the sticky label (so that you get credit for the sale).
    • Minimum label requirements
    • The top line is mandatory and must be legible if you want to get paid for the sale. The second line is optional but helpful. Any additional lines are entirely optional but Art found without proper labels, will be pulled and held until the artist complies with rules.
