Sandy Linden
Artist Of The Month - February 2010 I spent many years trying to do art while raising a family and working. I moved to the Pacific Northwest and found incredible beauty and unlimited time to devote to my art. Since then, I've been working steadily; taking classes, painting and drawing. Earlier, I'd worked in acrylics and oils but, in the past seven years I've worked almost exclusively in watercolor. I occasionally work in plein air but, mainly, I work in my studio from photographs I've taken; editing and rearranging them to suit my vision. |

Sue Swapp

I got my beginning training with the Art Instruction School of Minneapolis but am basically self-taught. I have taken local workshops. I work mostly from photographs and research my topic before creating a painting. World travels and the varied wilderness and agricultural area I live in offer a vast array of nature and wildlife. I try to capture the beauty and private moments of land and life.
